She was born the 26 January 1795, she died the 14 November 1817.

She was captured by Spanish Royalists and ultimately executed for high treason. She is now considered a heroine of the independence of Colombia.

She appears in the 10 thousand pesos bill and also has an statue in la candelaria.

He was born the January 23, 1903 and died in April 9, 1948.

as a politician, a leader of a populist movement in Colombia, a former Education Minister (1940) and Labor Minister (1943–1944), mayor of Bogotá (1936) and one of the most charismatic leaders of the Liberal Party.

1.5  Jaime Garzón

Jaime Hernando Garzón Forero (October 24, 1960 – August 13, 1999 in Bogotá) was a Colombian journalist, a comedian, lawyer, peace activist and political satirist. He was popular on Colombian television during the 1990s for his political satire.

 In addition to his work on television, he also had roles as a peace negotiator in the release of FARC guerrillas' hostages.

 He was murdered allegedly by suspected right-wing paramilitary forces in 1999.

1.6   Alfonso Cano

Guillermo León Sáenz Vargas (22 July 1948 – 4 November 2011),[1] more commonly known by his nom de guerre Alfonso Cano was the commander of the militant group known as Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia, FARC). He succeeded founder Manuel Marulanda (alias Sureshot, in Spanish: Tirofijo) in March 2008 and commanded the Marxist rebel group until being killed in action by the Colombian Army.

Colombian painter and sculptor Ana Mercedes Hoyos, a paradigm of the arts in Latin America, died Friday in Bogota, her family said. She was 72.

She was born in 1942, the exact age is unknown.

She was a great painter

Her death is a terrible loss for art in Colombia.
